AFNIC Board of Directors opens up the .fr domain to French expatriates

At its meeting on 13 November, the AFNIC Board of Directors approved the 2010 action plan and arrangements for making .fr domain names available to French people living abroad.
The Board noted AFNIC’s Report on Activities for the last six months (the September/October 2009 Autumn advertising campaign, key figures, etc.), and then approved the measures outlined in the 2010 action plan and the arrangements for making .fr domain names available to French people living abroad.
This availability of .fr domain to French expatriates will only become effective once the .fr registrar has been designated. It is also subject to some quite specific provisions :
