Update of the .fr Naming Charter on January 1st 2010

AFNIC informs you that the naming Charter that defines the .fr domain names registration rules will be updated.
The changes will mainly precise the roles and responsability of AFNIC, the Registrars and the domain name holders.
The new version of the Charter will apply starting January 1st, 2010.
In order for you to familiarize yourself with it beforehand, the document is already available.

Non-profit organization, AFNIC is in charge of the administrative and technical management of the .fr (France) and .re (Reunion Island) Internet domain names.
AFNIC brings together public and private members: representatives from the French government, Internet users and Internet Service Providers (Registrars).
