Become a member of AFNIC!

Anyone with an interest in Internet and domain names may become a member of AFNIC.
Several categories of memberhip exist. The services and the membership fees will depend on the membership category.
The membership is annual and starts the 1st January of each year to end the 31rd December.

Note for the customers who wish to get a domain name.
You do not have to become a member of AFNIC if you just want to get your domain name. Just contact one of our registrars.

Categories of membership

The types of membership are:

• Registrar Member (Reminder: the statutes of AFNIC have changed since January 1st, 2008. Association membership has been dissociated from the domain name registration activity);
• User Member (as a Legal Entity or an Individual);
• Correspondent Member.

The Association membership allows according to the category to:

• participate in the "Registrar" or "User" consultative committees and give your opinion on the evolutions of the AFNIC procedures,
• elect representatives for the Board of directors: 2 Registrar Members (chosen amongst option 1 and option 2), 2 User Members (chosen amongst Legal entities and Individuals), 1 Correspondent Member (chosen amongst the International College),
• take part in the different working groups and meetings organized by AFNIC.

Becoming a member is simple. You just need to fill out the form according to the category of membership you have chosen, to check the boxes according to your choices and to return it duly signed by post with your payment to:
