GTI (Groupe de Travail International) - International working group

This working group allows a regular exchange of information on the different issues relating to the development of the Internet, and thus contributes to setting out France’s position vis-à-vis the international authorities.
The group is led by AFNIC in accordance with the wishes of the French Ministry of Industry.

The first working group, which brought together France’s key Internet players, was held on 20 November 1998 in Paris, at the premises of the Ministry of Industry.
It included representatives from the Ministry of Industry, AFNIC, AFTEL (French Association for Multimedia Telematics) which later became the ACSEL (Association for e-commerce and on-line services), Bouygues Télécom, Bull, Cegetel, the Cigref (IT Club of large French companies), the CORE (Internet Council of Registrars), France Télécom, the INPI (National Intellectual Property Institute) and the Medef (French Employers’ Association), among others.

The group meets every two to three months.
The reports from the various meetings held can only be accessed by members of AFNIC and are available in the members' area of the website.
