Other domain name registries

If you want to register a domain name different from .fr and .re, you can contact, depending on the domain name extension, either the organization that manages it (this type of organization is called a NIC or a registry); or the ISPs that sell it (ISPs selling domain names are also called registrars).

gTLDs (generic domains): international domains made up of three letters or more (eg.: .com, .org, .name...) ;
ccTLDs (geographical domains): geographical domains made up of two letters (eg.: .fr, .it, .uk...).
