Signing of mutual letters of intent between ICANN and AFNIC

During the 42nd meeting of ICANN held in Dakar from 23 to 28 October, AFNIC and ICANN formally confirmed their mutual intentions.
As part of the standard process defining the relationship between ICANN and the ccTLDs, AFNIC signed the mutual letters of intent with Mr Rod A. Beckstrom, CEO of ICANN, on Wednesday 26 October 2011. The documents formalize the relationship between the two organizations and clarify the roles and responsibilities of each.
"Over and above this act, which AFNIC welcomes, we shall continue to be active and demanding within ICANN", stated Mathieu Weill, CEO of AFNIC.
