Sylvie Lacep

Biographie

Sylvie Lacep joined Afnic in 2002 to work as closely as possible with Afnic's core business, first as a development engineer, then as head of the development team. Her mission was to provide technical support before spearheading the main opening stages of the .fr in 2004 and 2006 as deputy to the CIO. From January 2008, she managed the implementation of the excellence approach, allowing Afnic to obtain 2 EFQM (R4E 4*) certified policies in 2015 and 2017. In 2014, she was appointed Director of the Excellence & Security department, helping Afnic to establish its ISMS and to achieve 27001 certification in 2016 (renewed in 2019). In 2018, her scope was extended to communication. With a taste for excellence and high standards, and convinced of the virtues of working together, she has for many years led and supported Afnic's continuous improvement process. Sylvie holds a DUT (undergraduate technology degree) in Computer Science from Sorbonne Paris Nord University, awarded in 1982 and a Masters in Information Systems Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management/EMSI gained in 2009. Before joining Afnic, she worked for some 20 years as a development engineer in fields as varied as linguistics, automatic natural language processing (ERLI, later Lexiquest), and geographic information systems (EDF-GDF Services).
