Every year, Afnic conducts a survey of its distribution network composed of some 350 registrars accredited to offer their clients, whether private individuals or professionals, .fr domain names. Find out the results of the 2025 survey[1] by the MV2 institute.
This annual survey is an opportunity for registrars to review their relationship with Afnic, evaluate the services provided and express their expectations.
The overall satisfaction rate with Afnic was once again high in 2025 (95%) despite a slight fall to its 2023 level (95% vs. 99% in 2024 vs. 95% in 2023).
The recommendation score for Afnic products and services also remained strong at 96% vs. 98% in 2024.
The satisfaction rate for various other points was predominantly positive, with scores of over 90%.
Afnic’s image is also still considered excellent. With scores between 93% and 98%, it is seen as innovative, effective and attentive to its customers. But more than that, Afnic is recognised as an actor promoting digital solidarity, an association committed to the digital transformation of VSEs/SMEs, and as being socially and environmentally responsible.
As for our customers’ primary expectations, they encompass include better information and knowledge of our additional offerings such as .FR Rush, .FR Performance and our training courses.
The survey also highlights the importance of security issues for registrars. A significant proportion of registrars expressed a desire for support for the transposition of the NIS 2 directive, for example.
Afnic would like to thank all the respondents and each of its accredited registrar customers. We will continue our efforts to build a safe and stable Internet together, never losing sight of the overarching aim of excellence in the fields of security, service quality and resilience.
