Afnic, the Registry for .fr Internet domain names , announced the appointment of Caroline Duval-Favre to the post of Secretary-General, member of the Management Committee. Her role will be to oversee the association’s financial management, to manage and develop human and general resources, to improve work life quality and the association’s appeal as an employer, and more broadly, to assist general management through input in strategic decision-making and cross-cutting management issues within the association. Caroline Duval-Favre will report directly to Afnic’s CEO.

Caroline Duval-Favre joined Afnic in 2020 as Purchasing and Finance Director. Prior to that, she held the position of Finance and Administration Director within small- and mid-sized structures in the audiovisual sector from 2017 to 2019. From 2002 to 2017, she worked in various subsidiaries of the Canal+ Group in financial posts, first in management control then as an internal auditor and subsequently as Finance Manager at STUDIOCANAL. Caroline Duval-Favre began her career in 1997 as Financial Controller at Siemens then at L’Oréal.

Caroline Duval-Favre, 48, is a graduate of Sup de Co Reims (NEOMA Business School).

About Afnic

Afnic is the acronym for Association Française pour le Nommage Internet en Coopération, the French Network Information Centre. The registry has been appointed by the French government to manage domain names under the .fr Top Level Domain. Afnic also manages the .re (Reunion Island), .pm (Saint-Pierre and Miquelon), .tf (French Southern and Antarctic Territories), .wf (Wallis and Futuna) and .yt (Mayotte) French Overseas TLDs.

Afnic is also the back-end registry for the companies as well as local and regional authorities that have chosen to have their own TLD, such as .paris, .bzh, .alsace, .corsica, .mma, .ovh, .leclerc and .sncf.

Established in 1997 and based in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Afnic currently has nearly 90 employees.
