3 minutes with Isabel Toutaud, AFNIC Legal Affairs Director

January 10, 2012

Isabel Toutaud reviews the major projects that marked the end of 2011, such as opening French extensions to holders in Europe

Whether in terms of opening the .fr, .re, .wf, .tf, .pm and .yt extensions to holders in Europe, the launch of the SYRELI dispute resolution system, or the accreditation of registrars, the end of 2011 was more than eventful. Isabel Toutaud, AFNIC Legal Affairs Director, reviews all of these innovations in a 3-minute video. Ms Toutaud also recalls the existing procedures for rights-holders in the event of litigation in one of the extensions managed by AFNIC, and discusses the other projects on which AFNIC will be working in 2012 such as the launch of IDNs (internationalized domain names i.e. with accented characters) or the posting of new publications on these issues.
